我国细颗粒物爆发式增长的物理化学过程及其复杂,涉及到的核心基础科学问题就是二次颗粒物的形成机理,包括气粒转化,气粒分配平衡,表界面化学反应,细颗粒物快速增长等过程,以及这些过程与化学组成,温度以及大气湿度之间的相互关系。我们团队最新的研究工作包括以下三个方面:

1. 颗粒物的吸湿性与挥发性

吸湿性和挥发性是颗粒物的两个重要特性,决定着颗粒物的大小、相态、光学性质及其CCN活性。我们运用真空红外、ATR-FTIR以及光镊技术分别对几个不同的有机/无机混合液滴的吸湿性和挥发性进行了在线观测和定量研究。

1.1光镊技术与拉曼技术相结合,研究了(1)甘油在甘油/NaNO3液滴和甘油/NaNO3晶体颗粒之间的重新分配问题;(2)不同湿度下醋酸镁液滴中的醋酸挥发问题。

2. 非均相反应

外场研究表明细颗粒物的爆发式增长的一个主要过程就是非均相反应。本课题组用红外手段研究了颗粒物的表界面反应,用荧光技术表征了棕碳的形成。

2.1运用ATR-FTIR流管反应器研究了正丁胺与丁二酸在不同温度条件下的非均相反应。

2.3运用荧光光谱技术探讨了甘油和硫酸铵发生丙酮醇反应形成棕碳的光化学性质。

3. 非理想混合

无机-有机离子之间的非理想混合常常容易导致液液相分离。我们团队利用共聚焦拉曼光谱技术研究了硫酸镁/戊二酸气溶胶颗粒的相行为随相对湿度的变化,结果发现随着相对湿度的减小,液滴在首先85%-80%相对湿度条件下发生相分离,然后形成了戊二酸固态包裹MgSO4胶态的壳-核结构。
